The Randall Cobb trade was done for one reason and one reason only, to please Aaron Rodgers. Even Brian Gutekunst said it! Green Bay has finally decided to try and make their Hall of Fame quarterback happy. It’s about damn time.
The Green Bay Packers pissed Aaron Rodgers off, and Rodgers wanting out was solely the front office’s fault. If it weren’t for Rodgers then Cobb wouldn’t have even been a thought for the Packers!
Obviously without Aaron, I don’t think we would probably be pursuing that. Randall’s still a really good player. Seeing him last night just kind of reminded me what an impact he’ll have in our locker room and for our football team.

While it seems that Randall Cobb was the reason that Aaron Rodgers decided to return to Green Bay, the slot wide receiver isn’t ready to say that himself.
That would be way, way, way too egotistical for me to think that I’m the reason. I think there’s a lot of pieces that’s in play with him coming back.
