WWE star Bray Wyatt tragically passed away last week at the age of just 36. He suffered a cardiac arrest following COVID-exacerbated heart issues.
TMZ has since released details from law enforcement records, which reflect that Bray Wyatt was not found with a heart defibrillator that had been “doctor-recommended.” It’s stated that on Thursday, he had told his girlfriend that he was going to take a nap. She was concerned when she could hear his alarm going off without stopping. He was found in his bed not breathing and turning blue. His girlfriend then called emergency services while her mother administered CPR. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police spoke with Wyatt’s immediate family, who said that he had COVID in March and had developed heart complications, causing a “weak lower part of his heart”. A week prior to his passing, he was hospitalized for a heart issue. He had a follow-up appointment with doctors on the morning of his death, where he was advised to continue wearing an external heart defibrillator.
With it not on his person, the defibrillator was later located by investigators inside his vehicle on the drive way.
Triple H announced Bray Wyatt’s passing on Thursday evening
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H took to Twitter to make the announcement last week. He revealed that he had been informed of Bray Wyatt’s passing by his father and WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda. He shared his condolences to Wyatt’s family and called on the WWE Universe to respect their privacy at this time.
Bray Wyatt is widely considered to be one of the greatest imaginations in professional wrestling. During two periods signed with WWE, he portrayed himself as many an iconic character, best exemplified by “The Fiend,” in a career that saw reigns with the WWE World, Universal and Tag Team titles. He shared the ring with the likes of The Undertaker, Kane and John Cena as he remained a prominent component of the company throughout his tenure.
Wyatt returned to the company in 2022 at the Extreme Rules event in October, having previously been released following WrestleMania in 2021. His return was treated as a big deal by the company as he emerged after much teasing throughout the weeks prior, making his grand return at the event’s close to a roaring and anticipant crowd.
Please join Vendetta in sending condolences to Bray Wyatt’s family. A WWE legend and devout family man gone too soon. May he rest in peace.
