Pick Up Pavel Mintyukov In Fantasy Hockey
Are you paying attention to what’s happening with the Anaheim Ducks? If not, you should be. Some of their young players are starting to figure it out. One of them is young defenseman, Pavel Mintyukov. If you’re looking for help in fantasy hockey, picking up the young Ducks’ blue liner might be able to give your team a spark.
As of this current moment, Mintyukov is owned in about 30% of ESPN leagues and that number has climbed drastically within the last week. Garrett wisely picked him up in our site league. Mintyukov, 19, is just a rookie but this guy really passes the eye test. I’m just telling you right now, this kid is good.
Mintyukov is eight points through 12 games and is second in rookie points behind just Connor Bedard. He’s doing this while playing defense. Smart with the pucks, gets the puck out of his own end, skates like the wind. He’s got it.
He’s an analytical darling thus far too.
The fact that Minyukov grades out this well offensively already at 19 is incredible. The Ducks picked Mintyukov with the 10th pick in the 2022 NHL Draft and that pick appears to be an absolute home run. The Russian defenseman has already stolen the Ducks top line PP job. Jamie Drysdale is never getting that job back again.
Mintyukov will help you in fantasy and the Ducks are way better than expected. Mostly because young players like this have really started to pop. Long term? This is absolutely a name to watch moving forward. Especially once he really hits his prime in the coming years.
