Alright everyone, Don Chach is back for another scorching hot take. This time it’s for my beloved Philadelphia Phillies, who after last year’s extremely disappointing season, broke my heart worse than when my ex girlfriend did. This maybe something that will turn a lot of heads, but frankly I don’t give a shit. The Phillies need to trade their power hitting first basemen Rhys Hoskins as soon as humanly possible. Don’t get me wrong everyone, I love Rhys. I think that he embodies Philly, which is what I look for in players, but the dude has got to go now. We cannot have another Mikel Franco situation where at his peak we could have dished him for quality assets and not been stuck with having a one time rookie of the month sit in the minor leagues and play like complete garbage in the bigs.

Hoskins is one of my personal favorite players on the Phillies, but after the season that he had last year its time to seriously consider dishing him. Hoskins is a guy that should be hitting 40 dingers and 100+ RBIs every year. However, the last two seasons Rhys has not lived up to the hype. I think if you trade him right now while he still has some value you prove to the entire league that you want to win now, and will do anything to do so. By trading Hoskins we can some much needed pitching depth, and hopefully, get some kind of money out of the trade to go out and add a star arm. I’m sorry Rhys. I truly am bud. Our time together has been nothing more than magical, and I will never forget it. But I have to tell you something my mom told me when I went to college. “Get the fuck out of my house”. I still love you and we will always have our memories.
