Let’s have a much-needed talk on Clemson running back Phil Mafah. Check out the 2025 NFL Draft profile inside the post! (Charles LeClaire-Imagn Images)

Phil Mafah 2025 NFL Draft Profile

If you’re paying attention at all, the answer is no, using this specific coverage image was not an accident. It was very much intentional. It’s because I remember watching this happen. This as in Phil Mafah fumbling against Pitt. No need to bury the lede on this one, if you came here to read me insult the Clemson running back over and over again, you came to the right place. If you don’t like the truth, feel free to exit, and thank you for the click. Here is your Phil Mafah 2025 NFL Draft Profile!

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1Week 4Week 10Week 14Conference ChampionshipsCollege Football Playoff First Round, East-West (1)

All of the stock notes are there for you to peruse if you would like to. I’d appreciate the clicks but if you want the spark notes, it’s basically just filled with insults. Dude is a turd and nothing more. If anything, SMU owes him a donation to the charity of his choice after sucking so bad he let them back in the ACC championship game.

Total zero in the passing game. No show at the Combine and probably didn’t work because he would have tested like trash. Lacks any semblance of short area quickness. Looks like a linebacker that has no idea how to play linebacker. Guy has size on his side (6-foot, 234). That is literally it. Former four star guy out of the state of Georgia. Took him two years to really crack the rotation at Clemson with not a ton of competition in front of him.

2024 was his best year rushing for 1,115 yards on 216 carries and eight scores. He’s a pure power back with no secondary gear. Other than being a hammer on short yardage, there’s no real role for him at the NFL level unless he can somehow play a special teams spot. In fairness, he had a bad shoulder all year but it’s not even about that. Lower body wise he just doesn’t look anything like a real NFL running back. No twitch to his game and no ability to be a gamebreaking tackle breaker down the field.

I have an undrafted grade on Phil Mafah. If you read any of the stock notes from his past year (which can be seen at the top) you already know this is a player I despise. Notable fumble issues too I didn’t even mention at the top. Guy is a total turd with zero talent and a waste of time. I can’t imagine anyone feels differently who is willing to be honest about what’s going on here.
