Yao Ming, Tacko Fall, Big Z, Boban Marjanovic. What do they all have in common? They’re all freakishly tall. They’re all usually loved by fans. It’s unfortunate that we are enamored by these players and almost treat them like circus animals. But we do love these players and are so intrigued by their size. If we were to see these players in real life, being right next to them, we wouldn’t be able to believe how actually tall they are. Boban Marjanovic is literally almost 2 feet taller than me by himself. It’s not like he is a bad player, and frankly, I think he could help the Mavericks out.
Boban Marjanovic has never really played a lot in his career. In his 5 year career, he has only averaged more than 10 minutes twice. But has never exceeded an average of 15 minutes a game. That is only when he plays too. He has only played half of the games the Mavericks have played this year. He currently averages 6 PPG on 54.5% shooting and 4.5 RPG in only 10 minutes. That’s literally not bad at all. If he played 36 minutes, he would technically have 22.2 PPG and 11 RPG. Of course, he would average a little less than that. But even if he averaged around 15 PPG and 10 rebounds, that would help the Mavs. I think the Mavericks would be better with a rebounder and rim protector like Boban.
All in all, even though Boban Majranovic is lovable and freakishly tall, playing him would actually add some benefits for the Mavericks. I have loved Boban since he was on the Spurs, he was a fan favorite. He’s technically a fan favorite everywhere he goes. Either way, the Mavericks might be better if they play Boban more, but they won’t know if they don’t play him.
