Lately I need some mind numbing comedy so I’ve been watching some cartoon comedy movies. I remember watching Madagascar as a kid thinking it was funny. While I was scrolling through Netflix, I stumbled upon Penguins of Madagascar the movie. Soooooo they’re up next on the review list.

I don’t care who you are or how old you are; the penguins rock. They’re just funny little shits always up to something. They’re hard to explain but they are just funny. Eating the cheese curls, saluting each other, or just improving in general, the penguins rock.

The premise of the story can be summed up quick without giving away the spoilers. There’s a jealous octopus who is really butt hurt over how cute the penguins are. He wants to destroy all of them. Apparently, he was in the zoo during the original movie (I don’t remember him being there but whatever). The penguins do what they do turning it into an entertaining movie. I can’t get enough of Skipper, Private, Kowalski, and Rico.

I genuinely enjoyed the movie. Despite the fact that it was a kids cartoon movie, Madagascar is the real deal.
