Let’s cut right to the chase and then get to the juicy stuff for those that don’t care about spoilers later. If you’re looking for a show to watch, you’re not going to go totally wrong with Partner Track. It was a little too girly for me but you felt invested enough in the Ingrid vs. Murphy relationship to the point where you wanted to see how it finished. If you got too invested, it sucks to suck because Partner Track will not be renewed for a second season.
I try to limit the spoilers but if you haven’t seen the show, you may want to stop reading and come back later. When it comes to this show, we may have to spill the tea more than I usually do to get to the point I’m trying to make.
Overall, I’m giving this show a 5.3. It wasn’t terrible but it didn’t deserve a second season either. Mostly because it spent way too much time on the side characters that didn’t need to be further explained. The only thing the show had going for it was relationship aspect. Once she finally danced with the devil, there was really nothing else there.
This story is basically wrapped up as a bunch of sleazy lawyers finally get a conscience. They do the wrong thing. Then they do the right thing in a very predictable story. A lot of the scenes were just weird. Like we’re supposed to somehow feel bad for the little sister because she sent the winner of the family to prison when it was her fault?
Rachel isn’t interesting. Neither is Tyler. It’s somehow serious yet ridiculous at the same time. Just not for me and by the looks of it, not enough for everyone else.
The show was fine. I don’t necessarily regret watching it but I think it was wise to cancel it and focus on building up better shows on Netflix.
