Good riddance. Frank Reich has proven that he’s a moron and Carolina has finally done something about it. The Panthers have fired Reich before even finishing his first season with the team. Nobody should really be surprised given the fact that Carolina currently has the worst record in the league (1-10).
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network was the first to report the news:
Adam Schefter also chimed in with the press release from ownership:
This is the right call. I’m not sure it’s even arguable. I said it in a post a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday probably sealed his fate. 4th and 6 with the game on the line Reich calls a bubble screen that never had a prayer. I probably would have fired him on the spot too.
If you haven’t already, watch our video breakdown on why Reich really needed to be fired. It can be found in the embed or by clicking this link here! Watch the video and comment your thoughts because it’s crazy what Reich has done to this team. Especially from a playcalling perspective.
David Tepper is embarrassed. This move had to be made. This team won 7 games a season ago. With virtually the same team with a quarterback upgrade, this team has the worst record in the league and don’t even own their pick. That pick will go to Chicago as part of the trade last year. That right there is the nail in the coffin, folks.
