LSU is doing work in the portal. Nic Anderson is on his way to Baton Rouge and has committed to LSU after entering the portal from Oklahoma.
247 Sports reporter Matt Zenitz was the first to report the news here:
By the way, this isn’t the only receiver LSU is adding via the portal. They also snagged Barion Brown from Kentucky, and that guy is a total stud. Brown is also a shorter and quicker receiver so those two have a chance to form a really nice one-two punch.
I’d imagine Kyren Lacy will enter the draft but the Tigers are set to be really strong at wide receiver. They also have Aaron Anderson and Zavion Thomas returning. Plus, if speedy Chris Hilton can actually stay healthy, they have an unreal group.
Oh, and Garrett Nussmeier is returning for another season too, which had to play a factor for Anderson. After a tough year at Oklahoma, having a real quarterback had to be really appealing.
Anderson played in one game in 2024 because of an injury. In 2023, he scored 10 receiving touchdowns and is a dangerous vertical threat when at his best.
Anderson, 6-foot-4, 207, has been mentioned in the stock report notes in the past. He’s definitely an NFL body. It’s a matter of putting it all together again in 2025. If Anderson has a strong season, expect his name to be called during the 2026 NFL Draft.
