Nick Saban Expects Joe Burrow To Be Great Pro

LSU quarterback Joe Burrow is going to be the first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The better question is how good is Burrow actually going to be at the NFL level? That’s a tough question to answer. Nick Saban spoke about how he expects Joe Burrow to be fantastic at the NFL level. Obviously, he’s not going to shit talk him regardless of what he thinks but overall, it was great insight.

“I think Joe Burrow’s got great vision, does a good job with pre-snap reads and knowing where he’s going to go with the ball,” Saban said. “He also can extend plays [and] scramble to throw, which I think is really, really important and puts a lot of pressure on the defense. So Joe Burrow’s going to have a fantastic career in the NFL.”

I’ll admit it, I don’t have ESPN+. I’m not paying for that subscription, get that cheese out of here. I do wish, however, I could watch this episode. The brief video ESPN showed for the episode really does a better job of showing play calling rather than Burrow’s ability. I don’t know what the rest of the episode looks like. Saban’s Alabama team did get torched by Burrow this past year. Burrow was 31-39 for 393 yards and three touchdowns in the 46-41 victory over the Tide.

Joe Burrow Should Say No To The Bengals

The LSU question is there for Joe Burrow. Why so bad in 2018 and so good in 2019? I still find it interesting that Urban Meyer said he would still rather have Dwayne Haskins. It would suggest the idea that Burrow can go in and turn around the Bengals in an instant would be foolish. Who would know him better than Meyer?
