NFL2K is coming back in 2021. Do you plan on buying the game or will you just stick to Madden? Let us know what you think!

EA Sports has mainly dominated the football market. 2K has dominated the basketball market. Never did I imagine NFL coming back to 2K sports. That day is actually here. In a shocking turn of events, NFL2K is coming back in 2021. Can it compete with Madden? That’s probably another story.

The following is from IGN:

The NFL and 2K Games announced a new agreement today that will see the publisher of NBA 2K and WWE 2K return to football, but EA’s long-running Madden NFL series will remain unchallenged in the high-end simulation market. “The games will be non-simulation football game experiences,” 2K said in its press release, adding, “While specific game titles, developers, and release dates will be announced at a later date, 2K confirmed the projects are in early development and will launch starting in calendar year 2021.” 2K Senior VP of Sports Strategy and Licensing Jason Argent told IGN, “These games will be ‘NFL 2K’ products, definitely.”

This is the first time since 2004 a new installment of the game will be released. All I know is that NFL2K better go outside of the box with this one. If they just try to copy Madden, this return will not work. I remember there was a mansion feature in the last NFL2K game. They better be very creative. Steal some ideas from NFL Hitz. Build a real career mode. Something that is very different from Madden. Otherwise, what’s the point in bringing the series back? Now it’s time for NFL Head Coach to get their shit together and bring that series back too. God, I loved that game.
