In the Cincinnati Bengals’ highly anticipated Thursday night matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, there were a ton of injuries. Odell Beckham, Jr., Mark Andrews, and Joe Burrow were all hurt during the game, with Andrews being out for the rest of the year.
Burrow threw a go-ahead touchdown to Joe Mixon to put the Bengals up 10-7 a few minutes before halftime. After he released the ball, he immediately winced in pain and began to hold his right wrist. He rushed over to the sidelines where he entered the medical tent to see what was wrong
Shortly after exiting, Burrow tried to throw, but could hardly grip the football.

He emerged from the locker room at halftime but remained on the sideline, and the Bengals eventually ruled him out midway through the third quarter with a right wrist injury.
Many have said that there wasn’t any play where Burrow injured his hand or wrist, and that’s because it might have been a preexisting injury. However, he was hit extremely late by Jadeveon Clowney beforehand.

Before that play, the 26-year-old was cooking, going 11-for-17 for 101 yards and a touchdown.
Pregame footage of Burrow and the Bengals arriving at the stadium appeared to show the quarterback’s right wrist or hand in some sort of brace. The Bengals also a posted since-deleted video of Burrow getting off the team plane Wednesday with a brace on Burrow’s right wrist.
The Bengals didn’t place Burrow on the injury report at all this week, a huge no-no if he was truly injured before Thursday’s game, and now, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Friday that the NFL is investigating why they didn’t do so.
What do you think of this injury? How do you think this investigation will play out? Let us know in the comments!
