New York Giants Hire Brian Daboll As New Head Coach
The New York Giants have found their new head coach in Brian Daboll, per Adam Schefter. He joins another former Bill in Joe Schoen, who is now general manager of the Giants.
The New York Giants are becoming Buffalo NFC. First, they hired Joe Schoen. His role with the Bills was as their assistant general manager, and he was with the organization when they drafted Josh Allen in the first round. Brain Daboll is one of the keys to Josh Allen’s development as a professional football player. Can he do the same for Daniel Jones? I doubt it but Daboll could do wonders for the next quarterback the Giants draft. Daboll has five Super Bowl rings as an assistant coach due to a large amount of time he spent with the New England Patriots.
Before joining the Bills, Daboll was the offensive coordinator at the University of Alabama in 2017, he also held the title of quarterbacks coach. From 2018 to 2021, Daboll was the offensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills. This is where Josh Allen saw a great deal of development and became the player he is today, which is a very handsomely compensated one.
The Giants have filled two of the most important positions in their staff with people from the Buffalo Bills. Will they mimic the success that the Bills have been able to find over the past couple of seasons? That remains to be seen, but they are trying to tap into why the Bills were so successful.
