2K Games just announced that NBA Superstar Stephen Curry will be joining the roster of playable pros in PGA Tour 2K23 at the game’s launch.
The greatest shooter of all time will meet Michael Jordan and PGA Tour pros on the tee box as PGA Tour 2K23 keeps bringing more star power to the game. The 2022 Finals MVP, four-time NBA Champion, and eight-time All-Star is also an avid golf fan and is a “welcome addition to the PGA Tour 2K23 roster,” 2K Games said via a press release.
Curry will be available to all players as a free download at launch and will have a distinctive Under Armour Curry Iso-Chill Golf adjustable cap, Charged Curry SL Shoes, Curry Polar polo shirt, and Curry Limitless shorts.
Curry is not the only one stepping off the NBA hardwood to the links. As previously released, basketball legend Michael Jordan will be a playable character at launch for players who pre-order the Standard Edition of the game, or those who purchase either the Deluxe Edition or Tiger Woods Edition. Players have the option of having the two basketball stars go head-to-head on the tee box in Exhibition play, both locally or online, to determine which basketball star is the best on the green, or they can take on an elite roster of PGA Tour pros.
2K Games has been building anticipation for the next installment of the PGA Tour 2K series for a few months now, sending out press releases since August of this year. Between the roster of pros, introduction of a virtual Topgolf, and a detailed list of officially licensed courses, the game has been creating hype for quite some time now.
The Standard Edition of PGA Tour 2K23 is set for Oc. 14, 2022, while the Deluxe and Tiger Woods Edition, digital only, are set for release on Oct. 11. The game will be available on both current and next gen consoles, as well as Steam.
