Multiple Items Stolen from Nuggets’ Michael Porter Jr’s Hotel Room
According to Mike Singer of the Denver Post, Nuggets star forward Michael Porter Jr. had multiple items stolen from his hotel room Tuesday night. The Nuggets were in Indianapolis on Tuesday night before their matchup against the Pacers on Wednesday.
Throughout the police report, multiple stolen items from Porter Jr.’s room were listed. Some of the items listed were a bible, two Louis Vuitton bags, a gold bracelet, and an undisclosed amount of money. It was reported that Porter wasn’t in the room when the robbery occurred. The Nuggets declined to comment on the situation.
After Tuesday’s events, Michael Porter Jr played 36 minutes in the Nuggets’ 122-119 comeback victory over the Pacers. Denver was down by 18 in the second half with Nikola Jokic in early foul trouble. Porter Jr. logged the most minutes for the Nuggets in the victory last night. Porter Jr recorded 17 points on 7/14 shooting and 3/7 from three while pulling in 6 rebounds.
After missing all of last season due to another back injury, Porter Jr. has produced for the Nuggets so far this season. The 24-year-old is averaging 17.8 points and recording 7.2 rebounds per game. The 6’10 forward also has been lights out shooting this season making 48.6 percent of his three-point attempts.
The Nuggets have been successful this season welcoming back both Jamal Murray and Porter Jr. from injuries. As of now, Denver is 8-3 this season which is tied for the second-best record in the Western Conference. The Nuggets have two more games remaining on their road trip. Their next game is Friday against the Celtics in Boston. Then the team will finish with a game in Chicago on Sunday against the Bulls.
