Mike Perry, Eddie Alvarez will headline BKFC 56

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) has booked a banger matchup between UFC veterans Mike Perry and Eddie Alvarez. The pair will headline BKFC 56 on Dec. 2 in Salt Lake City, Utah, BFKC founder and president David Feldman announced the bout earlier this week on “The MMA Hour.”

Feldman also revealed that the bout will be for the BKFC “King of Violence” title. BKFC has quietly been producing entertaining fight cards, and a main event between Perry and Alvarez continues that trend.

Perry has thrived in bare-knuckle boxing since leaving the UFC. In the new sport, he is 3-0 with wins over Luke Rockhold, Michael Page and Julian Lane. Alvarez’s dive into bare-knuckle boxing is much more recent. In his promotional debut, he earned a decision win over Chad Mendes.

Perry and Alvarez project to have an absolute war. Perry has consistently produced scraps in BKFC. Meanwhile, Alvarez has been a willing dance partner throughout his career. The former UFC lightweight champion has been in wars against Michael Chandler, Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier. That work led to Alvarez being gifted the unofficial title of “The Most Man in the UFC.” This may end up being the best fight in BKFC history.

It is worth noting that Alvarez will be moving up in weight. Perry fought the majority of his career at welterweight while Alvarez was a lightweight. It will not be a massive difference, but Perry will be noticeably bigger.

BKFC 56 includes several other UFC veterans. The co-main event features heavyweights Ben Rothwell and Todd Duffee. On top of that, Jeremy Stephens will fight Jimmie Rivera with two other title fights will take place during the main card.
