The Miami Dolphins have already waved the white flag in 2019. The Dolphins are tanking. Ryan Fitzpatrick is the quarterback and this roster stinks. Go look at the Dolphins roster. Not one guy you want on your team outside of maybe 2 guys (Minkah Fitzpatrick & Xavien Howard). Well, let’s take a look at the forecast for the 2019 NFL Draft. It’s time to continue the war room series.
First Round (Pick 13) – I think the Dolphins are tanking for a quarterback next year so we should look at other spots on the roster. I could see Montez Sweat being the pick. Charles Harris hasn’t panned out quite how I thought he would. Cam Wake left for the Titans. Miami needs a pass rusher. Sweat is on the table. He had a monster Senior Bowl and his stock has been on the rise since. Sweat becomes a pass rusher to build moving forward.
Second Round (Pick 48) – Continue to build that defense for the future. There’s so many defensive tackles that one just might fall. What if Jerry Tillery is one the board. Gerald Willis is right in the backyard at Miami. What about Dexter Lawrence? Maybe he slides. A good one might be just staring them in the face.
Third Round (Pick 79) – The Dolphins need offensive lineman. It’s Laremy Tunsil and a bunch of bums. I think a couple of tackles are worth taking a look at here. Chuma Edoga, Kaleb McGary, Yodney Cajuste, and Tytus Howard. Ja’wuan James left for big money to Denver so Right tackle is a huge hole.
The Dolphins have holes everywhere. There isn’t a spot they are really set at so Miami can go a number of different directions.
