Marquise Brown Claims He Didn’t Feel Wanted By Baltimore

The great unknown. The NFL is becoming a 7 on 7 league where quarterbacks and wide receivers are becoming more valuable than ever before. The Ravens have become a team that invests into a quarterback that can’t throw and doesn’t value receivers. Yes, there are legitimate people backing this is a correct philosophy… And I’m the insane one? Today we present an interesting quote from Marquise Brown.

The Ravens traded Brown on draft day this year for a pick that turned into Tyler Linderbaum. Now with Arizona, Brown admits he didn’t feel wanted by the Ravens.

It’s about happiness,” Brown said, via Darren Urban of the team website. “I want to feel like I am a part of something to win. At the Ravens, I just felt like sometimes they really didn’t need me. Regardless if I was there or not, they were going to win games.

“I love the game too much. I want to be involved.”

Pretty hard to feel wanted as a wide receiver if you play for an offense that prefers to not throw the ball. Not that there is anything wrong with that but the Ravens have taken it to an extreme that’s archaic. It’s also hard to get paid as a receiver if he’s not putting up those heavy hitting numbers.

Not to say Brown doesn’t have faults of his own. The guy just got arrested this past week. He also isn’t as talented as a Deebo Samuel, DK Metcalf, or AJ Brown and that’s on Baltimore for taking Brown first that year.

However, Brown also to show up here. Prove you weren’t the problem. Your best friend is Kyler Murray. Go ball out in Arizona. Otherwise, this won’t be a good look for you whether or not it’s fair. DeAndre Hopkins is also suspended for the first six games of the year so it’s up to you to carry the wide receiver room to start the year. Christian Kirk isn’t there either and he’s no slouch. Don’t fall short, Marquise Brown.
