Mario Williams 2025 NFL Draft Profile

I’m quite aware that Mario Williams is being forgotten about in this wide receiver class, but he’s genuinely worth talking about. Let’s take a look at the 2024 NFL Draft profile on the Tulane wide receiver.

Williams, 22, was a former four star prospect out of the state of Florida. He got his start with Oklahoma and was productive right away as a freshman posting 35 receptions for 380 yards and four scores. So much so that someone actually picked him in our fantasy rookie draft.

He spent the next two years at USC after following Lincoln Riley and Caleb Williams. The sophomore year ticked up with 40 receptions for 631 yards and five scores. The only problem is, he started to fall out of the rotation as a junior posting 29 receptions for 305 yards and two scores.

Williams checks in at 5-foot-9, 178, and is clearly a slot receiver. That’s what he needs to be to be at his best. Those also aren’t accurate measurements since he wasn’t invited to the Combine. 2024, however, was really encouraging after posting 60 receptions for over 1,000 yards and six scores. Williams was clearly the number one for the Green Wave this past year.

I mentioned him briefly in the stock report notes over the years. I’m sure you can find them on the website if you really look at them with hawk vision. Here are two examples: One from last year, one from the Bowl game to finish up his career.

I actually think Mario Williams is a draftable player in the 6th-7th round range, but it’s clear he’s not on anybody’s radar. This feels very similar to Malik Washington last year. I think Williams can be a productive slot for someone and clearly has some talent. He’s someone who would be on my preseason radar because it’s pretty obvious there’s talent here. Just have to know the role to use him.
