Maria Taylor is not shedding any tears after leaving ESPN. Taylor quickly made the move to NBC leaving the four-letter clown show network in the dust. Taylor isn’t wasting any time getting adjusted to her new environment. She is on the call for the Olympics and is living her best life.
The former ESPN analyst calls working for NBC “a dream come true”:
“It’s an honor to be a part of this team and the Olympic legacy,” Taylor said, before later tweeting that it was her “Olympic dream come true.”
“Incredibly excited to have the opportunity to work with…the entire NBC Sports family,” Taylor said Friday in a statement. “Literally, hosting the Olympics, Football Night in America, and the Super Bowl is what I dreamed of when I started in television – and this would not be possible without standing on the shoulders of all of those who came before me and made this path possible. And I plan to pay it forward.”
Maria Taylor will also be a big part of the football coverage for NBC. The plan is for her to be part of the Football Night in America broadcast on Sundays. Taylor worked a ton of college football games for ESPN so I’m sure that will be a smooth transition for her. She could wind up covering Notre Dame as well, who knows.
Good for Taylor. She could be sitting there and crying about how ESPN treated her. Nope! She got the bag from NBC and is right back in action.
