I know, I know, you can just sim them. But also, not really. When you start any career mode in FIFA 22 (here is a link to my series) it basically forces you to do the drills. If you don’t, every time it sims your players will receive a D grade for the drill.
I’m sorry but whoever came up with that idea at EA Sports needs to be fired immediately. I don’t care who you are; young, tall, old short. Ain’t nobody got time to do the training sessions in the career mode. Nobody.
A: If I want to do the training sessions, I can do them offscreen. I don’t need to be forced to do them especially in career mode. I’m grateful they exist which is another reason why FIFA will always be a superior product over the NHL games. Just leave them in the practice area where they belong. I don’t need them in career mode.
B: It takes long enough to build the roster I want. If you’re playing the game in the true spirit of the career mode, you start with a bottom tier team and work your way up. Trust me, you’re spending enough time just doing that stuff before even playing real games.
I’m not sure what the plans are for FIFA 23, but I’ll say this. This current system we have in place now sucks. The good news is once you get an A, you don’t have to do the drill anymore but it still doesn’t excuse the unnecessary tactic of forcing you to do them.
