Make The Bat-Fleck Movie Trends On Twitter as DC Fans Sound Off
The DCEU and Twitter share a storied history. Stemming from the removal of Zack Snyder and the appointment of Joss Whedon for the 2017 Justice League movie, DC fans made it alarmingly clear post-release that the critically panned theatrical version of Justice League was not the version of the movie they would settle for. #ReleaseTheSnyderCut was the talk of the cinematic world, and last year it was announced that Warner Bros. would relent and release Zack Snyder’s Justice League this year.
We got to see the four-hour superhero epic in all of its glory this year, and the fans loved it, in fact, it was all Twitter was talking about during the month of its release. Did the fans sit back and bask in their social media success? Of course they didn’t. The demands poured in for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad vision to be realised, and now, to see more of Bat-Fleck.
If you don’t know what a Bat-Fleck is you can be forgiven, it is the term of endearment the fans have come to describe Ben Affleck’s portrayal of the Dark Knight. And it is clear that there is a demand for more, at the time of writing demands for a Batman movie with the Gone Girl star have led to approx. 64,000 tweets.
As it stands, Ben Affleck is only set to return in the upcoming Flash movie in 2022, with doubts over his long-term role as with Henry Cavill as Superman; stay tuned with Vendetta to keep up with what’s happening.
