LeBron James has just made NBA history in a record that will most likely never be broken. He has passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 38,388 points and counting. With 36 or more points in a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the greatest of all time has done it.
LeBron James has added another achievement to his vast legacy. Becoming the NBA’s All-Time leading scorer is no easy task. With 20 years under his belt, it has been a wild ride for the King. His list of NBA accolades is hard to beat, and with him possibly playing until he’s 40, there will be no telling what the chosen one can add.
Coming into the league, James had arguably the highest expectations for a number one overall pick of all time. Safe to say, he has met those expectations and some more. In his first season in the NBA, LeBron had a target on his back and still does. But, in his rookie campaign, James posted 21 points per game, around six rebounds, and six assists. He took home the Rookie of the Year award for the 2003-2004 season.
One of James’ main goals in his career that he wants to achieve is to be able to play with his sons in the NBA, Bronny and Bryce James. In about three years, Bronny and Bryce James will be either drafted or draft eligible. So, be on the lookout for a James family reunion in the NBA.
I could go on and on about LeBron’s achievements and his new scoring record, but on behalf of all NBA fans. We have to appreciate LeBron’s greatness even if one doesn’t think he is the greatest of all time.
