Last Second 2025 Fantasy Baseball Advice

I’m very aware that I’m late with this, and today is Opening Day minus the Tokoyo cheese that was last week. Trey just doesn’t have enough help. I’m only one man trying to conquer the sports universe. The NFL Draft just takes priority this time of year, but I’ll chip in with some last-second 2025 Fantasy Baseball advice to keep in mind heading into this season.

I’m not going to take all day here. I still have 200 NFL Draft profiles to do and more on top of that. We’re going to do some quick hitters on things I disagree with on ESPN’s fantasy rankings. A few breakdowns on each position, and we’ll call it.

Catcher:

Sign me up for Keibert Ruiz. He’s catcher seven on ESPN. I think the Nats just might be better than you think, and it starts with Ruiz starting to enter his prime.

First Base:

Triston Casas being ranked 15th at the position is a joke. If he’s healthy, he’s a top 5 guy no question.

Again, I like hoping on some of this Nats stock. I think they’re going to surprise people this year. Getting Nathaniel Lowe for free sounds good to me.

I physically can’t understand how Cody Bellinger is a top ten player at the position but whatever. Have fun with that nonsense, Skankee fans.

Second Base:

I would punt on this position and take my chances on one of the young guys going for free. Kristian Campbell or Jackson Holliday? Pick your poison.

Shortstop:

Don’t go cheap here. Pay the money for Bobby Witt / Gunnar Henderson. I’d rather buy premium shortstops than overpaying for second base.

Third Base:

Maybe Mark Vientos is a fluke, but that guy can really hit homers and being ranked 19th seems way too low based on the power potential he has.

Outfield:

There are 100 of them. I’m sure you can figure this part out on your own. Getting guys who don’t strike out, hit for power, and steal bases is ideal, however.

Starters:

Chase strikeouts. Get three studs and use the rest of your rotation on daily waiver pickups based on matchups. Skenes, Crochet, etc.

Relievers:

If they’re not picking up saves, throw them in the trash. Know who’s each team’s closer is and act accordingly.

DH:

Kyle Schwarber will do that thing where he sucks in April and May. Then will remember he’s in a contract year and will catch fire in June. Play the stock market.

Feel free to comment and good luck this year.
