Lampard Wants Ter Stegen

Chelsea has been making major transfer moves this season. Frank Lampard is trying to rebuild the team, and have seemed to do a great job of it so far. Lampard is even ambitious enough to want Barcelona FC keeper, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

According to ESPN, Chelsea is looking at making an ambitious offer to get the 28-year-old. It’s no secret that Lampard is trying to get rid of current keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. He is unhappy at Chelsea and wants to make a move to La Liga.

Ter Stegen is one of the best keepers around right now. Which is why Barca is thinking of extending his contract since it’s set to expire in June 2022. But Chelsea wants to sit back and watch if the negotiations can pan out.

However, they should be looking at the rumored Valencia and Ajax swap. Kepa would leave to replace Jasper Cillessen. Then he would replace Andre Onana at Ajax. Onana would then move to Chelsea to complete the swap.

It was only three weeks ago that there were rumors that Sevilla was in the lead on a loan bid for Kepa.

Chelsea Aren’t Winners Yet

After seeing Lampard’s ambitious transfer deals with Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz, it is no wonder that he is making offers on Ter Stegen. It would be surprising if Barca let their world-renowned keeper go. It would be even more surprising if Ter Stegen would want to move after his wife just recently had a baby.

We’ll see if Lampard can nail another crazy transfer bid. But he will most likely not get this one.
