Kelvin Banks Jr 2025 NFL Draft Profile

It’s time to talk about the best offensive tackle in the draft, Kelvin Banks Jr. Honestly, this one is about as straightforward as it gets so why cheese the intro paragraph longer than it needs to be? Here is your 2025 NFL Draft profile on the Texas product!

Banks, 21, was a five star prospect coming out of high school. He was the third ranked tackle prospect in the 2022 class behind Josh Conerly and Zach Rice (feel free to Google him and you’ll see what’s going on there). Banks started at left tackle for Texas day one as a freshman, which obviously is an incredible accomplishment in it’s own right.

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 2Week 7Week 8Week 13Week 14Conference Championships

If you read the stock notes, you know I’m high on this player. Although I’ll note that he was clearly banged up during the second half of the season. Trevor Goosby came into spell him during the late portions of the year. He got beat by Mykel Williams a handful of times but otherwise looked like a stud any time you watched him.

The data backs that up. Banks allowed a pressure rate of 0.0272, which is among the best in the class. It’s also against SEC competition while playing deep into the playoffs and banged up.

The Combine notes tell you everything you need to know here. Overthinking this one is probably a mistake. Somehow, the guy has an ass that eclipses the sun but moves like an incredible athlete all at the same time. It’s nose tackle ass with tight end athletic ability. Dude is a rare breed. I thought he was the best looking offensive lineman at the Combine, and I’m not sure it’s close. Didn’t run a crazy time but his movement skills were there. Also, checks in at 6-foot-5, 315, 33 1/2 inch arms, and an 84 3/8 wingspan.

The list of accolades speaks for itself. He won the First-team Associated Press All-American. First-team All-SEC, Won the Lombardi Award (nation’s top OL), Outland Trophy. Yeah… pretty good.

I think Kelvin Banks is one of the 5-10 best players in this draft and is the number one ranked tackle on my list. He’s a blue-chip left tackle prospect, and those guys just don’t grow on trees. If he’s available, I have no quarrels turning the card in here.
