After parting ways with Cowboys, Moore reportedly headed to Los Angeles

After falling short in Dallas, Kellen Moore is expected to become the next offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers, according to Ian Rapoport.

With the Cowboys looking to make some offseason moves, they have decided to part ways with Moore after a disappointing loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional round. Moore was the offensive coordinator for the Cowboys for four years.

Even after being very successful with the Cowboys for those four years, Moore’s strings were cut. In his stint with the franchise, the Cowboys offense looked pretty stellar. They ranked in the top 10 three times out of four seasons, with Moore leading the charge.

Moore will be looking at a huge upgrade in talent at quarterback in Los Angeles. Justin Herbert, the former Oregon Duck, will be working with Moore in hopes of a deeper playoff push.

The Chargers were bounced out of the first round of the playoffs this year after a choke job against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Chargers collapsed in the second half offensively and defensively. Hopefully, with Moore being introduced, that won’t happen again for the Bolts.

Dallas had an elite offense under Moore, even with Dak Prescott starting, who had a horrific year. Prescott threw 15 interceptions in only 11 games in the regular season. Moore’s hiring by the Chargers seems like a no-brainer and a step in the right direction for the franchise. Herbert is only getting better, and the Chargers roster is beefed up with talent. Chargers to the moon.

I give this hire an A+ for them. Chargers fans should be electric (pun intended) with the hiring of Kellen Moore.
