Yes you read that right. The Kansas City Chiefs have signed former MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes to a 10-year extension. Adam Schefter was the first to give this groundbreaking news on Twitter.

The deal is reported to be worth over $400 million. Yes, a football contract worth $400 million. Not only will the deal make Patrick Mahomes the highest paid player in the NFL, but also in all of sports.

Patrick Mahomes had two years and $27.6 million left on his existing deal — $2.8M this year, $24.8M in 2021.

His 10-year extension is worth over $400M, though it's still uncertain how much over.

So the lowest his 12 year-deal could be worth is $427.6 million. But will be more.

This is an insane deal. Mahomes delivered a Super Bowl this past season to Kansas City and is a former MVP. He’s done this all in just three years in the league. There is no doubt he is the face of the league and will continue to grow.
