JT Miller Had Unreal Quote About His Lack Of Production
It’s been a rough year for the Canucks and JT Miller. If Vancouver had a chance to redo the Miller extension, I think it’s safe to say they would take it back in a heartbeat. Since signing that seven-year contract worth $56 million, Miller has totally packed it in.
Maybe it’s because of the pumpkin patch. Maybe it’s because he’s just painfully overrated. Something I tried to tell Sean Allen and he didn’t listen. But that’s a story for another day.
“I’d like to say my lack of production is a compliment to me not cheating the game and playing the right way.”
WTF is that! WTF did I just hear! Is this noob serious?
How is he playing the game the right way? Miller hasn’t been dreadful in terms of point production. When Vancouver has the puck, he’s somewhat engaged. Miller has 30 points in 36 games, which is a more than respectable number.
The problem is Miller has totally packed it in when it comes to any other aspect. Miller is a team worst -13 on the season, is getting pounded in the faceoff circle, and CF% has dipped to 48.5. Mostly because we have to watch this as his defensive effort on a nightly basis.
Anyone that watches Canucks hockey like I do sees this cheese from Miller on a nightly basis. He’s not limiting the opposition. In fact, I’d argue he’s doing the exact opposite. Miller can talk about how he’s playing the game the right way. That’s just not what the eyeball test says.
