To say that Josh Allen is excited about the Stefon Diggs trade would be an understatement. After Buffalo executed the trade, Allen tweeted this out:
Normal Tweet just being excited about adding a weapon. For Allen, it didn’t end there. It’s almost like he’s living in a fantasy land. Josh Allen still can’t get over that Stefon Diggs is a Buffalo Bill.
The Bills signal caller recently spoke to Adam Schein of Mad Dog Radio and talked about his new wide receiver:
“I’m still pumped about it,” Allen told Schein, via New York Upstate. “I’m still floating on cloud nine right now. I just can’t wait to get to work with him. Obviously with all this stuff going around, travelling and trying to get in touch, start throwing with him, that’s going to be a little delayed. I just want to get back to work. We’ve been staying in contact and trying to devise a plan of how we can get together. But man, the things he can do on a football field are unbelievable. The route running. The way he can make contested catches. I’ve talked to him on the phone a couple times and just how cool of a dude he seems. He’s going to match in very well with our wide receiver group, he’s going to match within our locker room and with our team. Big-time playmaker. He’s going to help us out a lot this year.”
The Diggs trade does a lot of things for the Bills. They are all in on Josh Allen. It also gives Buffalo a pure number one weapon they did not have before. Diggs fits right in with John Brown and Cole Beasley. Adding a top receiver to go with that defense, the Bills are threats to win the AFC East. Make no mistake about it. The arm strength that Josh Allen has should fit in well with Stefon Diggs stretching the field.
