Jordan Addison Fantasy Draft Profile 2023: Dynasty Leagues

The Minnesota Vikings have selected Jordan Addison with the No. 23 pick in this week’s 2023 NFL draft. Addison jumped the gun right as he stepped foot onto Pittsburgh’s campus.

In his freshman campaign, Addison caught 60 passes for 666 yards and four touchdowns in only 10 games, exploding for 100 receptions, 1593 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns the following season as a sophomore — one of the most electrifying seasons for a college football wide receiver in recent memory. He won the Biletnikoff Award in 2021, an award annually given to the best receiver in the nation.

After his two seasons at Pittsburgh, Addison decided to join up with future first-round pick Caleb Williams at USC. There, Addison continued his march to become one of the best receivers in the sport, hauling in 59 catches for 875 yards and eight touchdowns. But how will Jordan Addison’s fantasy production look like as a rookie in 2023? Let’s talk about it.

Dynasty League Fantasy Outlook:

Addison is undoubtedly one of the best WRs we have seen at the college level in this generation, and he will continue that with the Vikings. The USC receiver is in arguably the best position for production for first-round receivers. He has an experienced QB in Kirk Cousins tossing the pigskin to him and is alongside the best receiver in the league: Justin Jefferson.

Jefferson will take a lot of pressure off Addison in the Vikings’ offense, as he will draw at least two guys away from him at all times. But Addison’s WR2 spot isn’t a guarantee, with K.J. Osborn having a breakout 2023 season. Osborn flashed a lot of speed, potential and breakout ability, catching 60 passes for 650 yards and five touchdowns.

Maybe not in his first year, but Addison and Jefferson will slowly become one of the best WR duos in the entire NFL — similar to when Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen a few seasons back. With the Vikings becoming one of the best offenses in the NFL with Cousins behind center for at least one more season, Addison will be a for sure pickup in all Dynasty leagues and extremely valuable in the long term.
