Jonathan Jones Drops Insane Take Ripping NFL For Gambling Suspensions
If you’re an NFL player, you just can’t bet on the games. I’m not sure why this concept is so hard to understand but players are finding out the hard way. Nicholas Petit-Frere has been suspended six games after betting on non-NFL games from the team facility. Also, add Isaiah Rodgers and Rashod Berry to that list who were immediately waived by the Colts following the infraction. Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones is not happy about it and dropped the dumbest take of all time.

I don’t normally do this but in this instance, I feel like it just fits what needs to be said. Any time someone speaks against the NFL gambling policy, I always think of this Ryen Russillo rant from a year ago. He’s 100 percent right in this rant and nothing more really needs to be added. You can’t bet on the games. Sorry, I just don’t know what more needs to be said.
This is the real question that needs to be talked about. Is Bill Belichick really going to put up with this? I understand that Jones is a quality corner but he’s cut players for far less. Keep in mind, this comes on the heel of this quote.
“Bill Belichick actually talked about that in very large detail,” defensive lineman Deatrich Wise told reporters in June. “He always tells us what we need to do, what we need to stay away from and we had a whole meeting just about that. We do a good job of learning from coach Belichick.”
Just really, really dumb on Jones’ part.
Jones, 29, notched four interceptions in 2022. He’s not the only corner on the Patriots roster in hot water either. Same last name too.
