The Oakland Raiders finally pried away ESPN’s funny guy. Jon Gruden is now set to the sign the most lucrative coaching deal in NFL history. According to Adam Schefter,
Raiders are giving new head coach Jon Gruden a 10-year contract, the longest coaching deal in NFL history, sources tell ESPN. The deal is likely to be worth about $100 million.

Gruden has already compiled his list of coordinators. When you see the years and money, you’ll understand why they agreed to the job.
#Raiders coach Jon Gruden has 3 key hires already in place: #Rams QB coach Greg Olson as OC, #Bengals DC Paul Guenther as DC, #Cowboys special teams coach Rich Bisaccia as ST.

Gruden last coached in 2002 when New England famously beat Oakland in the “Snow Bowl”.
The Raiders have scheduled a press conference on Tuesday where they will introduce the new face of the organization. However, according to the Ringer’s Robert Mays, Raiders fans should be skeptical.
Jon Gruden hasn’t coached in a decade, and his offenses finished 20th or worse in DVOA for half his tenure in Tampa. (shrug emoji) https://t.co/W4vSFWWbiZ
