John Buccigross Should Be Slapped For His Idiotic Fake Trade Involving Leon Draisaitl

The worldwide leader of nonsense. ESPN continues to prove they’re a trash product over and over again. Even the people who aren’t considered hot-take artists can’t even help themselves. The incredibly boring John Buccigross decided to get spicy on the fake trade machine and he should be slapped for it.

Check this cheese out. It’s repulsive.

This is everything you need to know:

A: Whitney didn’t even respond back to him. That should tell you everything you need to know. Whitney and the entire Spittin Chiclets crew has a great relationship with the NHL media. The fact that Whitney didn’t even acknowledge his trade tells a lot of the story.

B: Whit isn’t dumb. He summed up his thoughts pretty well and it’s hard to argue with this. The Oilers need a better goalie. That’s really it.

C: The idea that the Oilers should even entertain trading Draisaitl is laughable. The Vegas Golden Knights won the Stanley Cup last year. Nobody gave them a better series than Edmonton. Their series against the Oilers decided the Cup. The idea that the second best team in the league a season ago should trade a future Hall of Famer because the team struggled in November the following year is insane and a wildly uneducated take.

D: If the Oilers trade Draisaitl, what do you think Connor McDavid would feel about that? You don’t think that’s exactly the type of thing that would want to make him leave? It’s not just trading Draisaitl. You’re basically forced to move McDavid at that point too. Another reason why Whit probably ignored Buccigross’ idiotic take.

It’s a non-starter. It shouldn’t even be discussed. Go cover the NBA if you want to wack off to the trade machine, Buccigross. I’m sure Bill Simmons will happily accept that loser Buccigross into his fake trade orgy circle.

Side note: ESPN can do better than Buccigross for their Frozen Frenzy segment. Way better.
