Joe Burrow wants to be a Bengal for Life

Burrow wants to continue to be coached under Zac Taylor in Cincinnati

Superstar quarterback Joe Burrow has the Bengals faithful rejoicing. Besides securing the win in Cincinnati’s wild-card game against the Baltimore Ravens, Burrow emphasized that he wants to stay with the organization for the rest of his career, according to ESPN.

In an interview with NBC ahead of Sunday’s game, Burrow said that he wants to be a Cincinnati Bengal for his entire career. He also noted the desire to remain alongside Zac Taylor, his current head coach, during the rest of his tenure with the team.

My plan is to be here my whole career, and hopefully Zac is here my whole career,” Burrow told NBC. “I have a lot of confidence in the front office doing their jobs in the offseason.”

Burrow, the former No. 1 overall pick, threw for 4,475 yards and 35 touchdowns with 12 interceptions in his third season with the team. His stellar play earned him his first Pro Bowl nod.

The Bengals selected Burrow first overall in the 2020 NFL Draft after a historic career and rise at LSU.

In his senior year, he won the national championship and the Heisman Trophy in resounding fashion. Burrow dismantled the Oklahoma Sooners in the Peach Bowl, pouring in seven touchdowns and almost 500 yards passing in just the first half of the game. He then added five more touchdowns and almost another 500 yards passing against Clemson in the title game, including connecting with current Bengals teammate Ja’Marr Chase for 221 yards and two touchdowns.

Burrow has continued his excellence in the NFL by leading his team to an appearance in Super Bowl LVI after a torn ACL the prior year. Burrow and the Bengals would lose to the Los Angeles Rams 23-20, staving off his chances of getting a ring in only his second season of his promising young career.

The hometown hero will look to be smoking more cigars, wearing his Cartier glasses, slinging the pigskin, and delivering cold quotes in the future as a Bengal. With Burrow and Taylor together, we will continue to see the pair chase after championships and some of the best in the game.
