JJ Redick Has The Best 3PT Shooting Percentage In 2020

Okay well, he is the 3rd best in the league in 3PT shooting percentage. However, he shoots at a higher volume than the two guys ahead of them. The leader is technically George Hill at 48.7%, but he only shoots 3 3PTs a game. The other person ahead of JJ Redick is Seth Curry, not Steph Curry, but his brother. Seth Curry shoots at a volume barely less than JJ Redick but only shoots .3% better than Redick. So honestly, who would you rather have, an established sharpshooter in JJ Redick, or Seth Curry, who’s still trying to establish himself in the NBA?

JJ Redick is having his best shooting season percentage-wise since 2016. He is also attempted 6.4 3s per game, his 3rd highest in his career. Oddly enough, this has been his best season in terms of rebounding as well. Redick is shooting 45.2 % from 3. He is a big reason why the Pelicans could very well make the playoffs this season. He averages about 15 PPG for the New Orleans Pelicans. For the Pelicans, that ranks 4th on the team. Only behind the Pelicans’ best players in Brandon Ingram, Jrue Holiday, and rookie phenom Zion Williamson.

JJ Redick is aging like fine wine. He has only been known as a sharpshooter in the NBA. To practically lead the NBA in 3PT shooting at the volume he’s shooting at, at his age is really quite rare. JJ Redick hasn’t been talked about one of the best 3PT shooters this season. Sure, as mentioned before, he is already established as one of the best sharpshooters, but that doesn’t mean we stop recognizing his talent. His sharpshooting helps the Pelicans tremendously. If the Pelicans do happen to make the playoffs as an 8th seed, he could definitely help the Pelicans upset the Lakers in the first round.
