Jimmy Horn Jr 2025 NFL Draft Profile

Colorado has a bunch of pass catchers in this draft class but Jimmy Horn Jr is by far the most explosive of the bunch. This one is going to be a fun one to talk about, so let’s get right into things. Here is your 2025 NFL Draft profile on Horn!

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 1

Horn, 22, went nuclear against North Dakota State to start the season. He wasn’t overly productive after that as LaJohntay Wester worked his way more into the rotation. Plus, he missed some time with a lower body injury. Horn showed the lighting rod elements of his game early in the season but that didn’t fully carry through the entire season.

Horn checks in at 5-foot-8, 174, and he’s a speed wide out all the way. For Horn, it was two years at South Florida and two years with Deion at Colorado. The last two years are probably the ones worth investigating most. In 2023, Horn posted 58 receptions for 567 yards and six scores. This past year the production dipped to 37 grabs for 441 yards and one score.

I thought the Combine performance was excellent. So much so that I genuinely thought it was one of the best wide receiver workouts at the entire event. Was very good on the gauntlet and showed sharp route-running ability. It’s not just overall speed. The play speed matched it.

Yes, Horn is on the smaller side but he’s a competitive dawg and can really catch the ball. No drop issues during the season or at the Combine. Can be dangerous on gadget plays and in the return game. Can hit big plays and never loses speed when asked to move in short areas. Leaping numbers were very good too.

Horn was a three star prospect coming out of high school out of the state of Florida. He also ran track and played basketball beyond also being a football player. Never going to be a contested catch guy or win with strength, but he clearly has strengths to find a role on the field at the next level.

I actually really like Jimmy Horn. I think he’s a middle round player. I don’t think he’s actually on any radars, so it seems like he’s a guy I’d snag late in drafts every single time. Based on his level of explosion, I’m all good with that. He’s my favorite tiny receiver in this draft if I’m taking one.
