Very few players in the NBA have that killer mentality that I love. There is no question, Jimmy Butler is the leader in that clubhouse. The NBA bubble is a business trip. If you thought Butler was going to invite his family to the bubble, you played yourself. Jimmy is a man on a mission.
“For the first time in over 50 days, the players get to see their wives, their girlfriends, their children,” said LaForce during Game 1 between the Heat and Milwaukee Bucks. “It’s very exciting for them, but for other players, they didn’t want their families to come in, and no offense to families, but Jimmy Butler said, ‘This is a business trip for me. [I’m] not messing around, everyone wants to have their family without a doubt, but we’ve been doing this for this long, what’s another couple months? It is an individual decision. I respect that decision that my teammates make, but for me, I’m here for business.’”
I love this. How can you not love this? This is a business trip. Butler is here to win a championship and the Heat are not messing around. After watching Miami take game one, you have to take them seriously. The entire world needs to apologize to Butler. His move to Miami was 100 percent the right now.
I’m just so impressed with the Heat. Butler is an unbelievable leader and all of these young guys have bought in. Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, and Duncan Robinson are all balling out.
Look, I don’t know what the Heat’s ceiling is. They might be one more star away. However, this team has a serious chip on their shoulder and Miami has proven they won’t be a tough out.
