We kinda knew things were trending this way but now it’s official. The New York Jets have been named the Hard Knocks team for the 2023 NFL Season. Since the Jets don’t have a first year head coach, they qualify to be on the show.
Adam Schefter of ESPN was the first to report the news:
NFL and NFL Films have selected the New York Jets to serve as this year’s team on Hard Knocks, per sources.

“The NFL and NFL Films have selected the New York Jets to serve as this year’s team on HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Wednesday.”
Schefter also added in the post that head coach Robert Saleh did not want his team on the show. He was very opposed to having the Jets be the team. More drama!
As Schefter says in the tweet, the Jets will report to camp on July 19th. Here at Vendetta, we will be dropping training camp previews for each and every team. Make sure to be on the site when those drop!
In terms of the Jets, they seem like a great choice for Hard Knocks. Mostly because they scream drama. There are just so many storylines to follow. I’ll just list some immediate thoughts below.
What does Aaron Rodgers look like on the Jets? How does Zach Wilson feel about the Rodgers addition? Can Joe Douglas and or Robert Saleh command a room? What are young rising stars Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson like off the field? Are we going to find out anything about why the Jets gave Allen Lazard that awful contract?
Go to the comments. What are you looking forward to seeing on this next edition of Hard Knocks? Did they pick the right team for the show?
