Russell Wilson earns praise from Jerry Jeudy: ‘Every detail matters with him.’
It’s safe to say the Denver Broncos offense will look completely different this upcoming season. Denver has a shiny new quarterback in Russell Wilson, who was acquired from the Seattle Seahawks in a ground-breaking March trade that involved four players and six picks. He’ll be partnering with first-year head coach and former Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars and Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett to help re-fuel an offense that’s finished amongst the bottom-10 in offense each of the last five seasons.
A key thing to bucking that trend will be the receiver room: Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick and Courtland Sutton. None might be at the level of D.K. Metcalf or Tyler Lockett, but it’s a capable enough room to lift the offense’s potential that hasn’t really been high with Drew Lock or Teddy Bridgewater.
Jeudy spoke to a youth football camp Thursday and praised Russell Wilson’s impressive attention-to-detail that he’s provided to the offense throughout the offseason.
“Every detail matters with him. You learn a lot, just how hard he works and how focused he is when he’s on the field and on the board,” Jeudy said at a youth football camp. “You realize how locked in he his. I’ve learned a lot. He’s a great quarterback. I am excited to play with him.”

Over his first two seasons with the Denver Broncos, the former No. 15 overall pick has been somewhat underwhelming — in-part due to injuries. He’s totaled 90 receptions for 1,323 yards and three touchdowns, each coming in 2020.
“I mean it’s going to be very exciting. I feel like we are going to be a very explosive team,” Jeudy said. “I feel like we’ve got all the pieces we needed, so we’ve just gotta put it together. And I am excited that is going to happen.”

Jeudy missed part of the OTA’s because of a groin injury — but provided Jeudy stays healthy, a connection developing between he and Wilson could certainly help launch this offense and receiving. He’s been one of the best quarterbacks in the league over the last several years, throwing for over 37,000 yards for 292 touchdowns and has been elected to nine separate Pro Bowls.
