Jaylen Brown and Terry Rozier were teammates in Boston for three seasons. Rozier was a total cancer in Boston and needed to go. However, Brown still has great insight and knows a lot about Rozier. Following the trade of Rozier heading to Miami, the Celtics supermax player weighed in on the deal.
Brown said all the right things to the media. He lied his face off in the best possible way. No ammo for the opposition.
Okay, maybe he didn’t lie. We’ll never know. Credit to him if he did though. Brown claims that Miami got better after the Rozier trade.
“I think Terry is already a native of Miami so I think it definitely made sense,” Brown said. “So I’m happy for him, he kind of fits in (to what) their culture represents.”
“I think they get better for sure,” Brown said. “Terry’s athleticism, playoff experience, all that type of stuff, I think he’ll fit right in. Tough, competitor, physical, that type of mindset, playoff experience, I think he goes along with all of that.”
One thing Brown said is definitely true. Rozier is much more athletic than the current version of Kyle Lowry. No question the Heat got more athletic. It also feels like Miami still has to make another move if they want to get back to the Finals. As of right now, the Heat are a 6 seed after losing to Memphis last night.
