Javonte Williams ‘I Feel Completely Like Myself’ Ahead Of Season With Cowboys

Stop me if you have heard this before. A player on a new team feels healthier than in past seasons and is ready to return to glory. This preseason hype is a common phenomenon in the NFL as players look to bounce back from tough years. However, Javonte Williams is back—at least he hopes to be, as he has another year of recovery under his belt and a fresh start with the Dallas Cowboys.

The former early second-round running back from North Carolina had a solid rookie year for the Broncos. He was poised for a breakout year in his sophomore campaign but he tore his ACL in the fourth game of the season. The running back went through rehab and played two more seasons for Denver, but could not match his rookie-year magic. Now, he believes his body is ready for him to take over in 202,5 according to quotes gathered at Dallas Cowboys OTA’s.

“I feel completely like myself… but as far as healing up, that I feel like is done.”
Javonte Williams

This news is exciting for Dallas Cowboys fans as they have lacked a major run game in recent years. The Cowboys recently traded for wide receiver George Pickens to put him across from superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. The Dallas passing attack has done most of the heavy lifting in past seasons. However, Williams’ resurgence would not just be a personal triumph but a huge development for the Cowboys’ offense.

The Dallas running back room consists of Williams, Miles Sanders, and Jaydon Blue. There is no reason a healthy Williams can’t command the backfield. His return to form could be the catalyst to reignite the Dallas run game. All eyes will be on Javonte Williams to see if he can return to his rookie-year pre-injury form.
