Jason McIntyre claims Kevin Durant insulted him in DMs

Jason McIntyre has now received some fire. He claimed on his podcast with the Volume that Kevin Durant blasted him in his Instagram DMs. The FS1 host believes that the Suns star should get off social media and live his life off of his phone. However, that did not sit well with Durant.

This all comes after KD infamously entered a Twitter space labeled “Kevin Durant is not Top 5.” Thankfully, our very own Jackson Law was able to catch a screenshot of the legendary moment:

Even more confusing is that McIntyre claimed to be on Durant’s side through all of this. While he does not agree with Durant squabbling with fans online, he still believes the Slim Reaper is a Top 15 player in NBA history.

However, that did not stop Durant from unloading on McIntyre. He started by calling him a “drama major.” Then, when McIntyre tried probing him about acting this way, he received fire and fury from the former No. 2 pick. The p-word was used, as well as terms like “broke boy” and “fool.”

That’s How The Game Is Played

Everyone can probably agree that Durant will die before he gets off Twitter. He has infamously tried defending himself in the court of public opinion using burner accounts. Whether it’s a case of having lots of free time or letting stuff get under his skin, his work on Twitter has been nothing short of historic.

However, Durant and the Suns might have more to celebrate than last year. They acquired Bradley Beal this offseason and look to advance well past the second round of the playoffs in 2024. Should Durant win his third title next season, he could have plenty more to say to McIntyre.
