It’s hard to be creative for all of these intros for the 2025 NFL Draft profile series, but for Jared Wilson, there’s an easy place to start. Shout out East Carolina (IYKYK)! Wilson will always be a champion in my heart no matter what happens with his real NFL future! Without further ado… let’s get to the profile now.

Wilson, 21, was a three star recruit out of the state of North Carolina. The redshirt junior is just a one year starter with Georgia, but that’s not really an insult. He sat behind Sedrick Van Pran (profile) for a long time, which 99% of the country would have too.

The Combine here was ridiculous. You can argue it was one of the best workouts for any player, regardless of position. Running a 4.84 for any OL prospect is absurd. As I mentioned in that post, Wilson has a soccer background and it’s not hard to spot with his footwork.

The raw numbers track here too. In 810 offensive snaps last year, Wilson didn’t allow a single sack. He only allowed one QB hit and five hurries on the entire season. That’s in 12 games played centering the Georgia OL. Pretty good stuff.

Wilson, 6-foot-4, 310, doesn’t have insane length or power, but his footwork makes me a believer. His raw handfighting checks out, and his ability to recover should translate to the next level. Looks great in pass pro and just needs to keep getting stronger and more dominant in the run game.

I have a round 2-3 grade on Jared Wilson, who should project to be a starting red chip center at the next level. If you need a center, this is one of the first players I’m targeting at that spot.
