Jalen Rivers 2025 NFL Draft Profile

I’m fully aware the 2025 NFL Draft has concluded, but we still have a few individual profiles left behind so we can complete the grades for each team. Up next is Miami guard Jalen Rivers, so let’s get right to it and not waste any more time!

NFL Draft Stock Report: Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3)

Rivers, 22, was a four star tackle coming out of high school. The Orange Park, Florida, native was the 223rd overall player, 17th tackle, and 32nd overall player in the state during the 2020 cycle. The redshirt junior checks in at 6-foot-6, 319, and spent all five years with the Hurricanes. He started out as a guard and finished off the last two years as the left tackle.

In terms of the Combine, I wouldn’t say his pre-draft process was great. It’s not just about being slow in the 40. It’s about being a turd on the field too, in more ways than one. He had a good first day at the Senior Bowl, and it went to hell after that. Doesn’t appear that he has any urgency or competitive stamina in the motor. Has size and length as long as you’re okay with turd mode along with it.

We’re also talking about a guy who missed substantial time in 2021, 2022, and 2024. Over the last three years, he’s given up six sacks, which isn’t a great number considering there isn’t a ton of monster pass rushers in the ACC. There is some talent here but proceed with caution.

I think Jalen Rivers probably got drafted around the right spot. He should be viewed as a depth piece at guard and probably not anything more.
