Jakobi Meyers Wants To Extend Stay With Raiders

Jakobi Meyers is entering the final year of his contract that he signed with the Raiders back in 2023. The contract was worth $33 million for three years, and $16 million of the deal is guaranteed. The former NC State product would prefer to extend his stay in Las Vegas with the Silver and Black.

*Don’t bother clicking the link below in the quote. It’s from the trashbag Athletic. Everything you need to know is attached below*.

“I want to be here for sure, but that’s all I can really say on it right now,” said Meyers (via The Athletic’s Tashan Reed). “That’s business between us and the top floor, so I’ma just hold that one down for now.”

Meyers, 28, surpassed the 1,000 yard mark for the first time in his career last year. Not the easiest thing to do in the world when Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell are the guys throwing you the ball. Meyers has more than proven he can play and has continued to improve during the course of his career.

Keeping Meyers makes a lot of sense for the Raiders, as long as the price isn’t prohibitive. Tre Tucker and the two rookies (Jack Bech & Dont’e Thornton) are the only wide receivers under contract in 2026. Meyers being in the room sure provides a lot of stability to that unit. Given that Meyers has already expressed a desire to stay, I’m sure some sort of common ground can be met here.
