Jack Sabin Gets Recognized As Rising MLB Scout

Vendetta Sports to the moon! Jack Sabin is the hottest name in the MLB scouting business. When the Cubs selected Matt Shaw during the 2023 MLB Draft, Jack got his flowers and rightfully so.

As most affiliates do, the NBC Sports Chicago website posted a feature on new Cubs draft pick, Matt Shaw. The Cubs selected the Maryland product with the 13th pick in the 2023 MLB Rule 4 Draft. NBC Sports Chicago used an excerpt from Jack’s post on Shaw.

“He has that blazing speed you can’t teach which should easily translate into 30-plus stolen bases at the next level, but the speed is far from the only thing Shaw brings to the table.

“He is an incredibly-patient hitter, working a lot of walks and limit strikeouts. This approach allows him to drive a ton of baseballs and gives him plus-power at the plate. He strives on making hard contact every at-bat, and constantly sprays the ball to all parts of the field.”

Jack gets a thatta boy for that one. Great stuff right there.
