Jimmy Butler has that dog in him. Rumors have been circulating of late around the NBA star being involved in a relationship with Shakira. Are Butler and Shakira the next big celebrity couple? Let’s check out what’s behind this rumor.

Jimmy Butler’s secret weapon isn’t what you think it is

Only a few days ago, the duo was spotted at Novikov Restaurant & Bar in London, but this isn’t the beginning. The couple have been spotted together multiple times in recent months, according to US Weekly.

Before Butler fancied the Colombian singer, he had a rumored thing with American journalist Rachel Nichols. During the NBA Bubble back in 2020, Butler and Nichols were rumored to have some tension between the two. Not physical tension, but you get my drift.

Shakira has also had some recent dating history, as the singer dated Gerard Pique, a former professional soccer player. The couple were together for 12 years, but Pique was never able to put a ring on Shakira’s finger.

Back in 2022, Shakira gave an interview with Elle about her relationship with Pique, one of her first public comments after the split.

“This is really hard to talk about personally, especially as this is the first time I’ve ever addressed this situation in an interview,” Shakira told Elle in September 2022. “I’ve remained quiet and just tried to process it all. … It’s hard to talk about it, especially because I’m still going through it, and because I’m in the public eye and because our separation is not like a regular separation.”

“I’ve tried to conceal the situation in front of my kids. I try to do it and to protect them, because that’s my number one mission in life,” she said. “But then they hear things in school from their friends or they come across some disagreeable, unpleasant news online, and it just affects them, you know?”

Butler just finished one of his greatest playoff performances with the Miami Heat only a few months ago. Now, the NBA star’s team might not be the only thing that is getting hot for him in his life.
