How Does DK Metcalf Feel About The Seahawks Firing Pete Carroll?

Mike Macdonald is the new head coach of the Seattle Seahawks but not everybody is thrilled about it. More so that not everybody was thrilled that Pete Carroll was fired from his post as head coach. Let’s just say it’s pretty safe to say that DK Metcalf loved playing for Carroll.

“I love Pete,” Metcalf said, via the News-Tribune. “He’s the one. He’s the reason that I’m standing right here in front of y’all, along with John [Schneider]. He was a great coach for me. Can’t dismiss what he did for me and this organization, you know, before I got here and when I got here. He’s a great coach, a Hall of Fame-caliber coach, in my opinion. But, just sad to see somebody lose their job like that.”

“I’ve had conversations with him since then. He’s doing good,” Metcalf said. “That’s all I can do, is keep in contact with him, because he gave me an opportunity to play in this league.”

Metcalf did state that he’s happy with Macdonald but he clearly had a special bond with Carroll. That much is undeniable.

DK Metcalf Has Taken Trash Talking To A New Level

For as upset as DK is, Seattle probably made the right call. As I wrote in an old post, Seattle’s defense went to hell and it needed to be addressed. Hiring the architect of the Ravens’ defense is probably a smart way to do just that.

Here is what really needs to be talked about. Can we get a quote about how DK feels about Sam Howell? That’s what everybody actually wants to know.
